Position Overview:
As an Industrial Service Technician, you will work under the supervision of a field supervisor to provide demand service to their industrial and commercial customers. Your primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of HVAC/R equipment, including refrigeration units, ice machines, air conditioning systems, heating units, heat pumps, boilers, chillers, VFDs, pneumatic controls, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation equipment in an industrial setting.
- Calibrate systems according to manufacturer specifications and communicate clearly with customers about necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including equipment details, test measurements, and photos.
- Provide effective and efficient solutions while maintaining clear communication with customers, supervisors, and other team members.
- Travel to job sites, working with dispatch to ensure schedules are maintained.
- Be on call for emergency service on a rotating schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Maintain company vehicle, stock parts, tools, and safety equipment.
- Utilize field service software to track jobs and report work progress.
Special Skills (a plus):
- Experience with chillers, ice machines, boilers, steam heating, and classified equipment.
- Familiarity with Aaon and Addison equipment.
- Controls and schematic reading skills.
Certifications Required:
- Basic Safety (HASC or ISTC)
- TWIC Card
- Universal EPA Certification
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC/R equipment.
- Knowledge of Industrial HVAC systems, including DX, chill water, air pressurization, and energy management controls.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work from heights, using appropriate equipment when necessary.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-oriented.
- Clear background check, drug-free, and clean driving record.
